"She has a month to find a husband!"

SOS: Convenient Husband Required by Liz Fielding was a sweet romance with a few twists thrown in for good measure. The heroine May Coleridge a strong and loyal woman and Adam Wavell a sexy hero who was an accomplished billionaire and a man from May's past......a man she once loved but had to give up!

After May's grandfather dies and the will went to probate her attorney found that the family home that had been the only home she ever had was not to be inherited from her grandfather due to a clause that she must be married by her 30th birthday which was only weeks away. She had staff who depended on her, she ran a small business from her home and had also taken out a loan for improvements. All of it would be lost. When her grandfather had been alive, May had also taken care of him, she also was to be married but in the end she backed out of getting married because her fiance wanted to put her grandfather in a nursing home.

Every time Adam walked by Coleridge House he remembered as a teen trying to make love to May Coleridge, bringing her red roses and having her grandfather turn the hose on him in the dead of winter. And then he remembered May would no longer look at him nor talk to him. She was a close friend of his sister Saffy. He also remember sneaking into their stables and helping her take care of all of the animals she would rescue and he called her "mouse". And now Adam needed May because his sister snuck into his office past his security and left her baby along with a note and disappeared. However, she also suggested that he as May for help until she got her life in order and came back for her baby. However, it was more complicated than that because she left France and her boyfriend was looking for her as he wanted his baby and she fled.

So May and Adam each had a problem.....May needed a husband of convenience and Adam needed a Nanny. He was soon to leave the country for a huge business deal so he set off along with his baby niece Nancie to ask May for help only to see her up in a tree rescuing a kitten. So she falls out of the tree and lands on him and they end up in a muddy puddle. What a day for them both, so they go back to Coleridge House to clean up and to talk about his sister and could he entice May to take care of her? And then May spills the beans and tells him what her problem is and being the smart man he was he offered her the marriage of convenience she needed to keep her family estate and in return she would take care of Nancie. And Adam moved his things in that evening and with a smirk decided he would get a little revenge from her grandfather and he would sleep in the old man's four poster bed knowing that he was probably rolling over in his grave.

The chemistry between them over the years had not diminished in fact with them both taking care of Nancie, with Adam organizing their wedding, getting reacquainted came naturally for them both. Adam would have any woman he wanted but after kissing May to seal the deal, all of the hurt she had caused him years ago, went right out the door. It left both of them wanting more. And then his sister called the evening before he left for South America on business causing stress for both of them. Adam was away for weeks and Saffy showed up and moved in with May. And then a chain of events happened which could have changed everything for both of them making one wonder if they would get their second chance because it was obvious they were both drawn to each other.

I so enjoyed reading SOS" Convenient Husband Required as it was a very engaging and fast paced romance.

SOS: A Conveneient Husband Required.

This is the story of Mary Coleridge and Adam Wavell.
This is a sweet story of a boy and a girl who fell "in love" when they were younger. He was from the "other side of town" and she lived with her more "well to do" family. When her family finds out about their feelings for each other, they have them part ways.
Many years pass by. May finds out she must marry before she is thirty to keep the family home. She needs her inheritance to keep her new business going. Adam finds out his flaky sister has left her baby in his care. He comes from a long line of rakes but he has turned his life around and become a pillar of the community. He is a corporate success story.
May will help Adam with his niece if he answers her SOS. A deal must be done for both of them to have what they want.
A cute story with a few hours worth of reading with a happy ending. This is the first book i have read by this author, but i am sure it won't be the last.

At this point both the tip of the needle and the tip of the catheter are inside the vein. You will now need to thread the rest of the catheter into the vein. The catheter is fully inside the vein when only the hub sticks out. There are several different methods to advancing the catheter

The Two Handed Technique

You have already visualized flash, lowered your angle, advanced 1-2mm and released the tourniquet.

Continue holding the needle in place

With your non-dominant hand, grasp the hub of the catheter and slide it forward into the vein

Slowly withdraw the needle

Place your thumb on the hub of the catheter to hold it in place

Use your index finger to press down above the site to prevent blood from spilling out

The Single Handed Technique

You have already visualized flash, lowered your angle, advanced 1-2mm and released the tourniquet.

Continue holding the needle in place.

Use the index finger of the hand that is holding the needle to slide the catheter past the needle

Continue sliding the catheter until it is fully inside the vein.

With the above two techniques, be careful that you are only advancing the catheter into the vein and not the needle. If the catheter is inside the vein it should be relatively easy and painless to advance it. Unlike the needle, the catheter is soft and flexible so it will be difficult to slide it in unless you are inside the vein.

10/10 Awesome guide for new nurses

I highly recommend this book to all the new grads, like myself. I get so hesitant to start IVs most of the time because I worry about looking incompetent in front of my patient if I don't get the vein on the first try. This book definitely gives me the knowledge and confidence boost that I need to perfect this skill. This book perfectly explains all you have to know in regards to IV insertion and different techniques/tips/tricks. It is easy to read, concise, and comprehensive. It isn't like those long, boring, textbook style of books. This goes straight to the point. I love the pictures/visuals that help you understand the concepts clearly. Perfect guide for new grads, EMTs, and perhaps even the seasoned nurses as well.

Same as 1st edition

I thought the newest edition would have more updated passages. The passages are outdated and do not give a true gage of teh student's ability. This is especially true in the middle school and higher passages. Today's students are not familiar with things like camera film and having to "use up" the film in a camera before "loading" new film.
I really would like an IRI that has passages more relevant to the age in which these students live.

Informal Reading Inventory

I have used this book many times since ordering it. It is a great resource that provides both effective inventories and very well laid out directions for usage. Each inventory may be used as a whole for a complete look into a child's reading strengths and weaknesses, or may also be used to pinpoint growth in particular areas such as fluency or comprehension, by utilizing separate sections of the inventory.

Recommendation? The book is a great resource, but is printed on very flimsy paper. I recommend photocopying onto heavier weight paper and placing in a binder. I would also recommend laminating the student reading selections.

I would recommend this to any reading teacher or reading specialist. If being used by a classroom teacher who has not had training in how to correctly use reading assessments, I would make a recommendation that they either get professional development training on the intended usage of this assessment, or use something else. This is a diagnostic assessment and should never ever be tied to "a grade" for students.

This book is worth the money. I have used it in my tutoring business as well as a long term substitute in order to identify a student's reading ability. Very detailed. It has graded word lists, graded reading passages up to grade 12. Excellent.

Great bargain

on an otherwise hard to find text. I got tired of getting the old Loeb translations on interlibrary loan and having to give them back before I got very far. There is no information in this book about the text, but presumably it is the Dewing translation. The volume is nicely done, and the text looks good, so if you just want the story without the Greek and without any editorial assistance, at a great price, this is for you.

I have not actually read it yet, but Amazon sent me the review form, so I am responding. With something like this, the shopper really wants to know what it is in addition to the quality of the content, and what it is is a neat reproduction of the public domain translation from the 1920's of two volumes of Procopius' great history. Procopius is a delightful and informative writer, and the subject matter -- Belisarius' campaigns to bring Italy back under Imperial control -- is weighty, so I look forward to reading it.

Excellent: a clear testimony of Zane's intelligence

Fabulously Fit Forever is an excellent publication for any fitness conscious individual, regardless of age or gender. Zane clearly displayed his intellect and educational background in his explanations, giving the book an academic flavor. As a social psychologist, it was interesting how Zane incorporated Jungian Psycholgy into his outlook on bodybuilding. For someone familiar with Jungian Psychology, it was truly enlightening. One could also detect the influence of Freud in the publication.
The publication clearly showed multifaceted bodybuilding is; reaching different dimensions for people with different needs. If there was one thing that Zane achieved in the publication, it was the fact that he shatterd the stereotype of bodybuilding as a "youthful" sport.
The workout routines are marvalous, and I have incorporated many of Zane's exercises into my current routine. As a bodybuilder for 20 years, Fabulously Fit Forever still teaches valuable lessons to the "veterans" in the field. This is especially true when it comes to injuries and nutrition.
Zane's philosophy is excellent, and one could tell a Buddhist influence in Zane. Though many readers may not embrace the philosophical aspects of the publication, Zane clearly showed the power of the mind in relation to the sport. As a psychologist, Zane clearly applied his academic knowledge to something empirical.
If you are looking for bodybuilding hype, this is not the book for you. In terms of substance, it truly brings essence to the sport of bodybuilding. Zane is an excellent example of an intellectual bodybuilder.
I would recommend Fabulously Fit Forever to anyone without reservation.

More than exercise for the body

Zane's book is about bodybuilding and the philosophical principles behind it. Bodybuilding is not just about getting big, but about developing the body AND the mind. Both the material and non-material sides of the person need to be developed, cared for and nurtured if we are to become whole and truly human. Zane introduces the reader to the Jungian theory of "Individuation" and rightly points out that bodybulding is an essential part of this process. He illustrates how positive thinking and meditation, along with exercise and diet, contribute to the physical, spiritual and mental well-being of our species. I recommend this book for those who, like myself, are interested in developing both mind and body, for both are interdependent and both require time, effort and dedication if they are to reach their fullest potential.
This is an intelligent book, written by an intelligent man for the intelligent person interested in bodybuilding as character formation and character completion. I congratulate Zane on his book.

Great primer for newbie body builders

I enjoyed the philosophical bent to the workouts that Zane uses to paint a nice picture in the mind of how to workout and get into shape with weights and nutrition. The photos are great and workouts easy to follow. I'd give it 5 stars except that not enough is covered on more advanced body building techniques this is more of a beginner to intermediate level book. Other than that was a joy to read and useful way to start working out. Much better than that Bill Phillips Body for Life [stuff]. I also like the fact that unlike BFL, Zane does not push supplements on folks other than protein and vitamins which is no a big deal.
